Sacred Yoga is a time to create space within one’s day to pause, breathe, pray, meditate, and move into the daily rhythms of life with grace, strength and hope. Jesus says, “Do not worry about your life, can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:25-27) But we worry, we do. Creating a sacred space will give us a chance to cast our worries and reset our heart and soul and strengthen our mind and body for the days to come. With spring in the around the corner, let’s do some spring cleaning in mind, body and spirit!

Spring Session will be on Thursdays, starting on April 4th and ending on May 30th. Online classes will be held at 7:00am (PST) 8:00am (MST) 9:00am (CST) 10:00am (EST). The classes will be recorded and a downloadable link will be sent via email if you miss a live class. (Note: the downloadable link will be removed after two weeks of the live recording date, you can download and save and watch whenever).

Payment of Sacred Yoga Online Winter Session is $75. Please email me if finances get in the way of your participation, I trust that God will provide for my time and yours!

To enhance your experience create a sacred space next to an open wall, lay out your mat and have a block and blanket nearby. Maybe light a candle and have a journal next to you to jot down any inspirations or messages you may receive during class. This is your time.

Schedule for June

School is out, but yoga is still in! (For the month of June at least).

Meditative Flow blends vinyasa (linking breath with movement) yin (longer holds to get into the connective tissue) hatha (traditional postures and breath work) and Bhakti (prayerful devotion) yoga all into one class.

Faith-Based Yoga Fusion is an interval workout that will nurture your mind and body as well as your spirit. The class will fuse together yoga postures with weights, bursts of cardio movements, breath work, deep stretching and prayerful meditation.

All faiths welcome!

P.S.–Yes, you are seeing correctly, the “June Schedule” header is crooked. It’s imperfect, even though I spent way too long trying to fix it, decided to be perfectly imperfect and let it go. Didn’t have the patience to do it over. Everyone has their strengths! LOL

A Time to Teach and A Time to Rest

Conscious MOMents

So you’re in the checkout line and your toddler grabs a candy bar. You say, “no!” and turn to reach for your receipt… and then… you turn back to see the tiny crumpled face… it’s all scrunched and you hear the long intake of air. You know what is about to happen. You can hear the scream before it’s audible to everyone else nearby.

Don’t you just want to do that sometimes? Crumple and cry like a three year old. It looks so freeing. (Be honest, no shame here.)

We’ve been there. Life doesn’t stop for you to catch your breath and respond in the perfect way. Life is full and fast and can be unrelenting. In the heat of the moment you snap. You feel everything at once… how tired you are, how loud they are, how embarrassing this is… and then it’s all over, you’re yelling, your day is ruined… and then you feel bad and they feel bad…

Compassionate Parenting Workshop

 

 

Do you ever find yourself wishing you could show up differently for your child(ren)? Do you long for your interactions to be more heartfelt, more meaningful and more intentional? As parents, we understand how easy it becomes run on autopilot due to our own conditioning. Our modern lives keep us so busy rushing from one activity to the next and as a result we tend to lack compassion with ourselves and our children.

This workshop is a “mini-boot camp class” designed to help you learn how you can interrupt your conditioned responses and choose how to engage with your child(ren) with compassion. We will guide you through meditation, life-changing writing exercises, role playing, personal reflection and in-depth group discussion. We will also share our findings from the latest research showing how compassion strengthens the brain and improves the quality of our relationships.

We are mothers and yoga teachers who have journeyed together through tears and laughter on the most insanely terrific and utterly terrifying ride of our lives; raising our children! From nursing throughout the nights to hair raising tantrums, to the first visit home from college, to sending them on a study abroad, we will share stories, tips and techniques that are sure to enhance your relationship with yourself and with every member of your family.
